Bahookie is comprised entirely of professional musicians (graduates from the prestigious Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama) who have been involved in the music business – performing and educating – for a considerable number of years. Experience and professionalism is the key to the continued success of the band.
As a 4-piece band consisting of Pipes/Fiddle, Bass Guitar, Piano/Guitar/Vocals and Drums/Vocals, one of the unique features of Bahookie is their vocal ability in singing popular Scots Songs, ie Auld Lang Syne, Loch Lomond, Flower of Scotland, The Wild Mountain Thyme, Killiecrankie and Dougie MacLean’s Caledonia which is a particular highlight of the set.
The BIG “bahookie” sound! is a unique blend of rock and traditional celtic music and the band’s success can undoubtedly be attributed to their ability to transfer their highly acclaimed recorded material to the most fantastic and unforgettable live performances. It is not uncommon to be dancing a Strip the Willow to then hear the band rocking through Coldplay’s Viva la Viva. The band have also recently added “Breathe” by The Prodigy to one of the sets – see if you can spot it on a gig!…..Cheers Liam!!!!!!
This ability has seen the band visit many countries throughout the world from Norway to Seattle. We will go anywhere!

Bahookie can offer a full band set-up for all events or a more acoustic mellow sound for any requirements you may need as background music.
In addition, bahookie also offer a live Dj set which has become immensely popular at weddings. The Ceilidh/DJ/Ceilidh at the end format ensures that your wedding will end with a bang! For the DJ set all you have to do is simply supply us with a playlist, we will play anything….within reason!!!!!!!
