For your information a normal run of events at a wedding is:
8pm start then Ceilidh until buffet/band break at approx 10pm.
We call all of the dances so no previous ceilidh experience is necessary!!!
Throughout the night we play LIVE, in no particular order:
- Caledonia
- My Love is Like a Red Red Rose.
- Gay Gordons merged with I Gotta Feelin’ or Dirty Bit (Black Eyed Peas), Greatest Day (Take That) or Every Teardrop is a Waterfall (Coldplay)
- Wild Mountainside – Trashcan Sinatras
- Dashing White Sergeant merged with Breathe (The Prodigy!!!) or Hey Boy, Hey Girl (Chemical Brothers)
- Circassian Circle merged with Wish or Without You (U2) and/or Chasing Cars (Snow Patrol)
- Canadian Barn Dance merged with Walking on the Moon (The Police)
- Orcadian Strip The Willow merged with Viva La Vida (Coldplay) or Insomnia – Faithless
Band break and time for guests to relax and have a cup of tea/blether etc with mellow music played through the PA in the background.
10.20pm – Live DJ section. We will play whatever you want from the Laptop (we have state of the art “DJ Trackter” software), but the norm is cheesy disco with loads of floor fillers! We supply state of the art LED DJ and Band lighting/Lasers/PA and even a smoke machine if the venue allows it!
11.20pm – The band plays a rockin’ finale comprising- Orcadian Strip the Willow/Faithless Insomnia, Last Waltz (band playing Caledonia) then Auld Lang Syne into Loch Lomond. We then wind down with a couple of DJ tracks.
It all works a treat and is the reason why BAHOOKIE are so popular!
